Over the past few months we have had a lot of ideas of where the brewery should be located, how big it should be, what it should look like inside and out and everything in between.
As far as the space we are renting goes we have chosen to build out 720 square feet for our taproom. The taproom will seat about 45 people and will have a bar and hopefully a spot for some games, movies or music. We want to ensure that it is casual and as nice as we can afford, which isn’t much! The bar will feature as many of our beers as we can get on tap, hopefully 6+, local wine and a few select beverages that we enjoy.
We will have windows viewing into the brewing area and hope to be able to demonstrate brewing up close and personal and hopefully we can work with home brewers to get ideas on new flavors and beers they would like to see in our taproom.
For the rest of brewery we will be busy building out a small office, a cold room for kegs, digging out trench floor drains, bathroom plumbing, new electrical, glycol chilling for our fermenters, a milling area and whatever else regulations require! It is a much bigger project than we ever could have anticipated, hopefully soon we will get to brew!
Here are a couple of pictures of the brewery in its current state. It doesn’t look like much now, but it will look great when it is done!
